Atari Centipede

Atari Centipede is an addictive fixed shooter arcade game where players must defend against relentless waves of centipedes, spiders, scorpions, and fleas using their trusty bugblaster! Your objective is to survive as long as you can in this thrilling challenge. The bugblaster launches small darts aimed at the segmented centipede, which typically comprises 10 to 12 body segments, including its head. When you successfully hit a section of the centipede, it transforms into a mushroom; each segment continues to descend towards you independently! Only by targeting the head can you completely eliminate the centipede. To control the action, you can use either your keyboard or mouse to maneuver the blaster and take aim at the approaching centipede.
